1. Simeon1 Bandy was born in 1840 at Clinton Co., KY, USA.1 He married Hester Ann Koger on 14 Dec 1867 at Clinton Co., KY, USA.2 He died before 1916 at Clay Co., MS, USA; Charlotte E Bandy Bunnel writes: "Simeon and Hester are buried in McPhearson Cemetery on the Bandy farm in Siloam, Clay Co. MS. I have no Idea how Simeon acquired a farm in Clay Co. My theory is that Simeon was an itinerant farm laborer as he appears in Clinton Co. KY in 1840, Allen Co. KY in 1860 and Smith Co. TN in 1870 & 1880. He has also appeared in Sumner and Wilson Cos. in TN. All of these TN Counties are north-east of Nashville."3 He appeared on the census of 4 Jun 1880 at Farmer age 40, disabled, Cannot read nor write, unemployed 5mths of Census year, Civil District No. 1, Smith Co., TN, USA.4 He appears in the Civil War Pensions index Veterans Schedule 185644.5
